Homemade Hydraulic Front End Snow Blower on our Kubota MX5400 Series Tractor - Dec 8, 2019

My stepfather made his our Hydraulic Front End Snow Blower for our Kubota MX5400 Series Tractor.

The hydraulic pump is a 40 hp. The hydraulic lines are 1 inch as anything smaller will restrict the flow of fluid and you won’t get the 20 gallons per minute.
We got the motor and pump from Princess Auto
The part numbers are

Before he would always have to turn around and go backwards with his tractor and it was difficult.
He decided that he wanted to put the blower on the front and use hydraulics to power the blower but he hadn't ever built anything himself using hydraulics.
We got a free book about hydraulics from Princess Auto and he started gathering parts and asking questions.
He is using a 20 gallon per minute pump that is ran by the PTO and also has a 20 gallon per minute motor that is attached to the blower.
He has 1" hydraulic lines connecting all the systems so that he is getting enough fluid to power the motor that blows the snow.
He certainly enjoyed the experience and learned a bunch of things along the way.
