This trout fishing video is a recap of my November 2019 Michigan fishing adventures. I got my personal best brown trout for the 5th time this year lol! This time it was a real nice 22 inch brown trout!

I also did some pike and walleye fishing in November without any luck. Even with live bait i couldn't catch a fish so I decided to go after steelhead. This trout fishing video was filmed on 2 different rivers and as usual I don't catch my target species the illusive steelhead... I cant complain about catching these 2 really nice brown trout but none the less I'm haunted by my inability to catch a darn steelhead. I haven't even hooked into one yet for the fall or winter steelhead season. I lost one steelhead in spring and have lost so many in the past lol. Brown trout fishing however has been great this year and the brown trout is slowly becoming my favorite fish to fish for. When I hooked into this first brown trout I thought it was a steelhead at first but quickly realized it wasn't. For a moment I thought maybe a coho or an old king but once I caught the first glimpse I knew I had my first truly big brown trout on the line. It is always moments like this that I start to have a panic attack for fear of losing the fish just because of how big of a deal it is for a fishing addict each time you get a new personal best of any species of fish. I always say all is well that ends well! So in both of these cases I started by drifting beads, spawn bags or wax worms under a Nick Godwin float (local made bobber). No bobber downs means I brake out the spinning tackle and toss some spinners. Spinner fishing is my favorite. It is a finesse technique that is over looked and under rated. I started spinner fishing for smallies at the age of 5 and have upped my spinner fishing game since then. Anyone can cast a spinner and catch a fish but a spinner master like myself ;) can drift a seam, stall it in front of a timid fish for a reaction strike, bang it off heavy cover, jig it or whatever. Spinner fishing is also a great way to cover ground fast and effectively. If you have never trout fished but have experience fishing for small mouth bass then you can go to a trout stream and apply the same principals and you will catch trout. In this video both brown trout came on spinners one was on a Mepps number 4 and the other on a 1/8 or 1/4 rooster tail.

Michigan is well known for its famous trout fishing rivers like The Au Sable River, The Manistee River, The Pere Marquette River, The Jordan River, The White River, The Boardman River, The Dowagiac River, The Huron River, The Rifle River, The Fox River, The Black River, or your favorite little creek off the radar, Trout fishing offers a beauty that is hard to beat from the fish to the Michigan landscape. Michigan has some of the greatest trout fishing the USA has to offer. I am excited to inform you that as of this release I have 2 more un edited trout fishing videos I am working on delivering to you. stay tuned as I will have trout fishing tips and tricks worked into each video. Reel Michigan Anglers is a personal passion and my gift to fellow fisherman. In the future I hope to do more informational fishing videos and cover different types of fishing all across the great state of Michigan. My goal, time permitting is to fish as many different bodies of water for as many different fish species as I can get try hands on. I am a lansing michigan resident working towards transferring to MSU for Fisheries and wildlife. My goal is to expand operations and bring more educational and entertaining fishing videos to my subscribers. In the meantime you can count on me for the occasional video outlining the the techniques and areas I fish for Bass, Pike, Walleye, Steelhead, Salmon, Trout, Carp, Suckers, Catfish and Panfish ect. You can see additional videos and other fun fishing related info on my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... I Wouldn't be the fisherman I am today without other fisherman who taught me the things I know and I am a firm believer that the sport and conservation of fishing in Michigan is better when we share it with one another. Wether your trying to lean a new spot to fish, a new crank bait to try, advise on what fishing rod to use, what fishing line to use, what color spinner a coho likes, what color jig a steelhead prefers, how to rig live bait, match the hatch, understand fish migration, the effects of barometric pressure or any other aspect of fishing the best way to learn is from other fisherman. That combined with trial and error and pure time spent on the water is the key to improving your fishing game. The better you get the more fun it is and the more we share the fun with others the more future generations will benefit.
