I needed to purchase new bolts for the strikers of the rear doors of my 2005 Chevy Silverado extended cab. Since these are critical for safety I purchased them directly from my GM Dealer (Barnes andWheaton South Surrey) as I wanted the bolt spec'd to be used in this application. What I noticed right away the new bolt had a different finish and was a higher grade than what was originally equipped with the truck. I figure I might as well share my findings on this one so people can investigate on their own and see if upgrading the hardware is worth it for them.
