Step-Parents, Building Resiliency In Yourself
(Podcast) – It’s important for you to build resiliency in yourself. Step-parents we have a hard road to hoe. I want to encourage to be supportive of the biological parent that God has placed in your life. Wake-up biological parents, the step-parent in your life is not trying to hurt your child and you. They are trying to help you and your kids. Let’s look at the long-time effects of not having good parents. Step-parents when you build resiliency in yourself it will give you greater patience to handle situations that occur within your family. There is no one that will understand the dynamics of your family. So, encourage yourself and be the step-parent you are supposed to be. Be loving, be supportive, be there. Know ahead of time you are not always going to be listened too. It’s okay because experience will teach everyone. It will teach your kids, your biological parents, and you. I am not saying this out of being mean. I really am trying to help you have resiliency in the situations that are teaching situations in your home. Parenting is hard but you can do it.
