Getting your photos viewed and looking popular is bound to attract more visitors. However, if you're currently not in a position to monetize your views (i.e. you only have a handful of views) don't worry! There is another way for you to monetize your photos. Plus, who knows. Maybe having tons of photo views could incentivize people to buy prints or use it for their projects/website/whatever! And if you're using Istockphoto for yourself, just for fun, and don't care about how many views you get, then there is no point in wasting time on getting more views at all. Do whatever that makes you happy :)
