Dog swallows piece of rusty metal pipe.

It doesn’t matter how safe you try to keep a dog they can always find a way to get hurt. When I got my first Beltran Malinois directed this 6 foot pen to make sure they were extra secure. They are only in there when I am gone from the house for an extended period of time. This was first time I left peaches alone in the pen. The next morning I noticed for there was a place on the floor for one of them had spit up. I picked it up with a paper towel and got to looking at it. It was all stuffed full of gunk and hair. I cleaned it off so that I could see what it was and it was a piece of rusted metal pipe. My panels of my pen have no rust on them they’re in very good shape. But there was one gap that I had laid an old gate across it to make sure she did not try to paw through that. She showed no signs of being in distress with something in her throat. I guess because there was a hole in the center and food and water could pass through. But there would have been no way that she could have digested this piece of metal if it had gone past her throat. It just goes to show no matter how safe you try to keep a dog especially a young dog they can always find a way to get hurt.
