My 1st Solo Show: 4/12/2008

When the recession wiped out much of the gigs that the big groups I was in because of budget, or venues that folded, I was left with not being able to get over my stage fright, and not being able to get used to performing in front of a live audience. So, I responded to several ads for solo/duo acts on Craigslist, bought a 90 pound PA system, and started performing as "Ava Lemert." This is from that very first show at Smith Gallery, during "Second Saturday." I was a regular there until they were unable to get a license for live music from the City of Sacramento (SMH).
It was a great way to start, and I still love singing that song at the end of my shows!
