2020-Virginia January 20 Gun Rally - Recommendations from Local 3% (see update notes in description)

MJ Cummings, zone 10 leader of 3UPVA. My zone focuses on the area just outside DC.

We had a meeting with VCDL, the organizers of the event, a state delegate, NRA rep and GOA rep.

A. Please leave all long guns in the truck. It is a city statue they are not to be open carried.

B. Open carry is legal for VA residents. Capitol Police may check IDs. ( update: Governor Blackface has banned all guns on Capitol grounds)

C. They are expecting 50 to 100 THOUSAND. Go grey man.

D. At this time it is a rule that you cannot carry INSIDE the building. Outside on the Capitol grounds is good to go... at this time. Watch the VCDL for updates.

E. Parking will be available at the Diamond, a baseball stadium. VCDL will provide a bus shuttle. It is a 45 minute walk to the capitol grounds from the stadium.

F. There are areas that are super sketchy. Keep your head on a swivel and walk in groups. Stay off your phone while walking through these areas.
