Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi surveyed the damage on Saturday from the deadly floods and landslides, which have killed at least 53 people.

Raisi travelled alongside representatives from the Iranian Red Crescent Society to the flooded city of Firuzkuh, east of the Iranian capital of Tehran.

The floods have affected some 400 towns and villages in 18 of Iran’s 31 provinces, closing many highways. Rescuers continue to search for the missing.
