WHAT IS PEYRONIE'S DISEASE?
Peyronie's disease is where scar tissue develops inside the penis that results in pain and abnormal curvature of the penis.

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF PEYRONIE'S DISEASE?
* Pain during erections and/or during sex
* Erectile dysfunction
* Anxiety or stress
* The inability to have intercourse

WHO GETS PEYRONIE'S DISEASE?
Men tend to be diagnosed with this condition in their 50s, but it can strike at anytime. It is more commonly found in those who have:
* Diabetes.
* High Blood Pressure.
* High cholesterol.
* Dupuytren's contracture
* Smoke
* Drink too much alcohol.
It’s also seen in men who have Hypogonadism.
The disease affects about 3% to 9% of men.

WHAT TESTS ARE DONE TO DIAGNOSE PEYRONIE'S DISEASE?
Usually, this is done on the patient's history of pain with erections and/or sex and the physical signs of an abnormally curved penile shaft. Or the presence of plaque or scarring felt in the penis by the doctor.
