A Sad, Sad Memory Day!

I lost my son at the age of 16 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on July 29th. He was declared brain dead the following day, and became an organ, bone, and tissue donor. His donations helped 77 different people!

You Are Not Found!

The pendulum on the clock sounded, "Tick Tock".
Then for a brief moment, stopped the clock.
Silence, silence everywhere!
My heart beat faster and faster,
Listening for the sound of you!

Echoes loudly resounded within my mind,
Recalling memories of the "forever" kind.
Laughter, laughter everywhere!
My mouth formed a tender smile,
Thinking of good times with you!

Tears spilled and cascaded down my face,
As dreams of yesterday I could not erase.
Visions, visions everywhere!
My eyes searched the horizon,
Looking for the likes of you!

But you were not found.
I heard not a sound.
Trapped, afraid, lost,
My heart has paid the cost!

Oh, death you robbed me of my joy.
Dare you to claim as yours my boy!
Notes of anguish now play on sad violin.
Grim Reaper has another win!

Plan I now future with outcome unknown,
Resting weary head on pillow of stone.
Heartache, heartache everywhere!
My spirit weighs heavy with grief,
Sinking for the absence of you!

Reflections on the loss of
my youngest son, Chris,
who loved white roses.
