Secrets of Java and Gili Islands and found paradise | Bali Travel Video Vlog

Who doesn’t love Bali? It is a paradise and one of my favorite places. I stayed in Ubud for about a month and traveled around to some other islands.

Ubud feels like home. It is the laid-back town which is considered by many to be the epicenter for arts and culture in Bali and has developed a reputation as a place with a positive vibe.

I started exploring Ubud by visiting temples. In the evening time each temple has local dance performances, one of the must things to do. You can find the dance schedule at the visitor information centre downtown Ubud.

Take a stroll and get some inspiration at Campuhan Ridge Walk. It is popular place among Ubud people and the tourists of course.

Not far from downtown there is a path that will take you through rice terraces, where you’ll meet locals on your way selling some painting, coconut oil and other little things. Use the app Maps.me to find the this path. If you follow the path long enough you can end up at the Pyramids of Chi, the meditation place. They do have free shuttle buses that will bring you back to town.

Another must thing to do in Ubud is to trek the volcano and see the sunrise. The bus will pick you up around 2 am and you’ll start hiking around 3 am. It is an unforgettable memory.

There are many tours provided by locals, they will drive you to waterfalls, rice terraces, famous palaces and the most beautiful places for your Instagram 😉

If you have a chance, go to Java island. It is about 6 hours drive from Ubud. Ijen volcano is a unique place to see. Go there for the sunrise. Right before the sun goes up you could see the blue fire and meet the miners who carry about 90 kg of sulfur up to provide a living for their families.

If you want to go to the beach, to go Gili islands. Gili Trawangan is concederse to be a party island, Gili Mano - a romantic place and Gili Air is a family place. Islands are small and you can easily walk around the whole island in a couple of hours or just ride a bike. Sunsets are something completely different. There are many restaurants on the beach for the sunset. For the sunrise I recommend to do the yoga on water.

Nusa Penida is the place to go and stay for at least two days, so you have enough time to go to the beach and not just waste your time in a line to take a picture 😀
