Argentine forest fires continue to burn nearly 800,000 hectares of land!

An ongoing forest fire in northeastern Argentina has cost the economy more than $240 million since mid-January. Despite light rains over the weekend, fires continued in at least eight different areas of Corrientes, with about 800,000 hectares burned in Corrientes, which borders Paraguay and Uruguay, authorities said. The fire caused economic losses of at least 26 billion Argentine pesos.
