According to a report by the American Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) on April 29, toxic foam floated on a polluted river in Moscara, Colombia.
The local environment department blamed the production of the toxic foam on emissions from an industrial area and pollution from some household detergents. Botero, an expert in environmental hydraulics, explained that the foam is usually created when the passage of rivers or bridges narrows and the flow of water in polluted waters increases. He also warned that if left unchecked, these contaminations would pose public health problems.
