Most Dangerous Hike Closed | Huashan Mountain Camping | China Travel Video Vblog

Huashan Mountain is located in 120 km from Xi'an.
You can take a high-speed train 45 minutes to the entrance location or stay at a hotel near by the entrance.

We recommend starting by taking the gondola ride up the West Peak. Take the bus from where you purchase the tickets, the bus ride is about 30 minutes.

The gondola ride is beautiful and takes your right over other lower peaks along the way and you get such an amazing view of what's to come.

Once up on the West Peak is said to be the most elegant. From here you can plan you route finally ending up at the North Peak where you can take the gondola down or walk down the mountain.

There are 5 peaks. East Peak is the best place to enjoy the sunrise; South Peak has the highest altitude; West Peak is the most elegant; North Peak is famous as the Cloud Terrace Peak and Middle Peak is also called Jade Lady Peak.

Along the way to East Peak of Mountain Huashan you should be very careful when passing the major dangerous passes, such as Thousand-Foot Precipice, Hundred-Foot Crevice, Black Dragon Ridge and Golden Lock Pass.

The most dangerous hike is located in Huashan Mountain, but unfortunately, when we were there it was closed for renovation. There is another location that you can take a ladder down the side of the mountain which takes you to a peak where there is a pavilion.

We spend most of the day walking around and taking various pictures from peak to peak.

We left Xi'an early in the day, but arrived up top on the West Peak around 2pm. Lines. There will be a line to get onto the Gondola especially during any type of holiday in China. We decided to head down around sunset at the North Peak Gondola. We were there during a holiday, and took more than 4 hours to wait in line. We had to beg to cut in line, and we still waited. I suggest walking down if you can.

The last train back to Xi'an is about 10:00 pm from the slow train station. Different than the high-speed trains. The slow train takes about 90 minutes. So be aware.

I suggest staying in the city where Huashan Mountain is located.
