Real Garage: Hummer Expansion Tank, 1969 Trans Am Air Boxes (Season 3, Episode 6)

66

Andy sends off this season of Real Garage by fabricating a front axle expansion tank for his Hummer, then cutting out the air boxes in his 1969 Trans Am.

Nobody likes leaks, so Andy fabricates a fix for his Hummer's fluid-dripping front axle with a Real Project: an expansion tank. Then it’s back to the 1969 Trans Am Real Build! Air boxes are great for interior ventilation in a stock cruiser — but this rowdy ride is all about what's under the hood. Andy shows you how to cut out air boxes to make room for a dry-sump oil tank and other go-fast goodies. Fabricating and welding in closeout panels is the final step to keep water where it belongs: outside of the car.
