Your Song (Elton John/Bernie Taupin Acoustic Cover) - 2022 One Take series #139

No matter where life leads, this for me will always be "Meggie's Song"!

I'm not really interested in seeing the movie about Elton John, but I guess we all want to believe the song is about true love, and we can picture Bernie sitting on a roof on a sunny day revealing his deepest emotions to his paramour.

But...according to Bernie, "The truth being that I scribbled the lyric down on a lined notepad at the kitchen table of Elton’s mother’s apartment in the London suburb of Northwood Hills, breakfast time sometime in 1969. That’s it. Plain and simple. " Ah well, I'll stick with my imagination on this one!
