How to write a USB img file to a hard drive SSD M.2 SATA image

Most USB bootable OS images like Linux and Windows come in the form of an image or .img file. The problem with most image writing software like Balen etcher is that they only detects USB flash drives or SD cards. SSD drives are way more reliable for running OS's like Linux then a cheapo USB thumb drives. USB flash drives are slow and don't function well if you have allot of logging. The east way is to get a USB converter. It converts SATA, M.2 or other interfaces to USB so your image writing software will detect it. Below are some USB converters that will work.
