This should be common sense

A gun is an inanimate object. It is neither good nor bad because it doesn't have any consciousness. Humans, however, do. This is why we have the choice to do good, evil or nothing. Good people will always do what is good. Bad people will always do bad. Cowards will do nothing. Tyrants will prey on the weak and simple and exploit them for their own agenda. They will still have the guns and remove the option to defend yourself thereby declaring themselves king.
