Day 4: Appalachian Trail / Longest Day Yet

11-mile day, our longest day yet.
BEFORE I GET ANY MORE COMMENTS ABOUT MY COMMENT ABOUT STAIRS ON THE TRAIL: I was being sarcastic y'all! I have done trail maintenance and know why "stairs" are put on trails. I forget that I have new viewers and not everyone knows my personality and why I am called "Nutty Hiker". Also, if you ever hear me say I saw a 20-foot snake and want to know why someone would lay it across a trail to scare the crap out of me; know that I am also being sarcastic =) I've been hiking for over 20 years all over the United States, before that most of my weekends and summers from the time I was a newborn on, were spent camping or out in the woods (or on the lake).
