EMERGENCY LOCKDOWNS IN SCHOOLS

Yesterday six North Island schools were either put into lockdown or evacuated following threats made to schools via a call.

Matamata College, Matamata Intermediate, Thames High School, Cambridge High School, Firth Primary School and Lytton High School all announced around noon that there were threats received.

The schools immediately initiated their emergency management plans and the police responded.

Aimee Bearda has been discussing the lockdown powers schools now have for some weeks.

And while many have accused her of fear mongering, she believes forewarned is forearmed.

Rangitoto College confirmed that in August they will practice a lockdown where parents must stay away & children will not be allowed free phone contact with parents.

We are left wondering, what type of bomber rings to let their target know first, resulting in their plans being foiled?
