Fixing Gravel driveway washouts; TRACTOR vs. EXCAVATOR vs. SKID STEER POWER GRADER

03-03-2020. We got pummeled with a gulley washer heavy rain last night and I woke up to a nice, new gravel driveway washout. But the very interesting thing was that at one of the previous gravel washout problem areas there was no washout! Of course it hit me right away what the difference was this time. I have repaired this spot many times over the years with the Kioti tractor, the Branson tractor with fresh gravel and a box blade, then I repaired it with the Bobcat e42 Mini Excavator but this last time I ran over it with a Skid Steer (MTL/CTL/SSL) power grader, aka power rake and harley rake. Let compare the past fixes and take a look at how much water came across this spot after the Skid Steer power rake and see just how well it held up!
