NYC’s Mayor Adams Tries to Save Face

The Mayor of New York is rapidly losing his grip on his city, and despite running on the promise of being a proud “sanctuary city,” he is now blaming what he calls the callousness of border states.

You have to love the irony. New York Mayor Eric Adams, who we just told you last week campaigned on the promise that New York City would remain a sanctuary city for undocumented migrants but now says his city has been overwhelmed, is blaming border states like Arizona and Texas for the illegal migrant problem – and even the homeless problem – in New York.

While speaking to reporters, Mayor Adams made the following statement:

"Our system was inundated with those who were seeking shelter because of the callousness of the states that pushed them out . . . .

And we need everyone on board with this. Because as I stated last week, our schools are going to be impacted, our healthcare system is going to be impacted, our infrastructure is going to be impacted. But we’re willing to do our job and we’re going to do our job, and we’re going to need all New Yorkers to be with us."

It’s absolutely ridiculous for Mayor Adams to cast blame at Texas or Arizona or any other state. We shared a picture of migrants disembarking an airplane in Westchester County just outside of New York City. It’s not Texas flying them there, it’s the Federal Government. If the Mayor is upset, he should blame the President, not Texas Governor Abbott. And he clearly knows that, given that he’s demanded federal aid money to deal with the problem. What he doesn’t seem to grasp is the crisis at our border isn’t just a U.S./Mexico problem.

Today’s full Sekulow broadcast includes further in-depth analysis of the New York Mayor’s statements, as well as Rep. Michael Waltz, the first Green Beret to serve in Congress, who joined us for more discussion on China’s current activity in the U.S. including buying up land around our military bases, and warned that Americans need to wake up while we still can.
