Cycling nutrition - it's a topic I get asked about a lot on the channel. The fact is, I am no expert. While I eat healthily and look after myself, external to a beer or two, I don't have the expertise in the field. Enter, Steph Cronin, an experienced Sports Dietitian who works with a number of endurance athletes, including road cyclists. In this video today we focus on nutrition on the bike, notably gels and bars. Steph provides an overview of both, giving us an insight into the pros and cons and of each, all while emphasizing the importance of the volume of carbohydrates we should intake and the types of ratios for optimal absorption.
