Russian Defense Minister Shao Yigu awarded two Russian heroes with the Order of the Gold Star

On May 8, local time, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu awarded the Order of the Russian Hero Gold Star to two pilots who performed outstandingly in special military operations in Ukraine.
Major Victor Dudin, one of the recipients of the Gold Star Medal, spotted a Ukrainian Armed Forces Su-27 fighter jet during the exchange of fire and destroyed it in the first round of confrontation. In addition, he has repeatedly disrupted attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces.
After Litvinov's Su-25 attack plane was hit by a Ukrainian missile, Litvinov regrouped and used thermal flares to cover his comrades, successfully avoiding the second Ukrainian missile attack. The damaged attack aircraft landed safely.
