A Message (Coldplay Acoustic Cover) - 2022 One Take series #118

I am attracted to playing songs that have a connection with moments in my life. Once upon a time, a love-struck young man stood on a platform at the Zagreb Kolodvor and chased down a train...professing his love for the beautiful young woman in the window seat trying vainly to act like she didn't notice him. At least, until I jumped on the train at the end of the platform and told everyone on the train how much I was in love with her! 🤣🤣 she started bawling and just said I was crazy and everyone was smiling - and the rest, as they say...! On reflection, her prognosis was eerily correct 😜! Everytime I stand on that same platform today, I think how much I would have missed, good and bad, if I just played it safe...

Coldplay is also unbelievable live. I took my 8 year old son (who resulted from that earlier platform antic!) to see Coldplay for his first concert at the Forum in LA...with 90,000 other fans. Nothing like setting the bar high! It was so fun, he loved Coldplay and everyone knew every word from every song, he was so happy. I had to carry him back to the car after the show he was so exhausted!

2022 One Take series; pick up the guitar, and hit "record" for one go around - and see how it goes! No edit, no retakes, no amplification. My goal is to work through my playbook alphabetically (more or less) in the year, recording a video every day (more or less).
