Mammas, Don't Let Your Babies... (Willie Nelson Acoustic Cover) - 2022 One Take series #115

When I was in college at UNCW in the 80's, Willie played a show and asked for student volunteers to do set up. I was probably the first in line...anyway I helped the crew and even got to see Trigger up close - BUT NO TOUCHING! Guitar tech was a stickler that it was off limits.

When everything was set up, we got free tickets and a chance to say hello to Willie and his band backstage. He was so kind and just down to Earth. I brought the only guitar I had at the time, an old beater. I asked him to play it for me, and he picked out some notes - then signed it for me!

Unfortunately, it was not a good guitar and died a natural death a while later. I wish I had this guitar for him to play...

2022 One Take series; pick up the guitar, and hit "record" for one go around - and see how it goes! No edit, no retakes, no amplification. My goal is to work through my playbook alphabetically (more or less) in the year, recording a video every day (more or less).
