If I Could Only Fly (Blaze Foley Acoustic Cover) - 2022 One Take series #95

Thanks to Otis Gibbs and Townes van Zandt's Amsterdam show on YT, I started binging on Blaze Foley, one of Townes' good friends. An amazing and prolific songwriter, and not just a little...eccentric. This song hit me - (or maybe it'sthe Albanian beers), the guitarist hypnotic and the lyrics are heartfelt. This is literally one take, just wrote out the lyrics and figured out the chord structure while I was introducing it! 😜
