Clashes in Sri Lanka leave 5 dead, 200 injured

Sri Lanka's first clashes in Colombo and some areas on the 9th killed five people, including a member of parliament, and about 200 were injured.
Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa resigned, protests and clashes continued. Some people stormed Mahinda Rajapaksa's house and the Prime Minister's Office in Kurunegala County, Northwest Province, and protesters set fire to Raja Paksa's ancestral home in Hambantota Port, some MPs, and former ministers' homes were also set on fire.
According to the British "Guardian" report, police deployed tear gas and water cannons at the scene of the conflict in Colombo, and some military and paramilitary forces were also deployed to the site and a curfew was announced in the area.
