Here is a Thermal trailcam I built using an Axis Q 1942-E. Modified and painted a lockable steel box. Used lithium batteries designed for a fish finder power source. It can run unattended approximately a day and swap out the battery or probably 2 days with both batteries in parallel. The images are recorded to an internal micro SD card and can be retrieved later with a laptop. Alternately it could be powered over ethernet on a property where longer run time is desired. Can't wait to start putting this to the test out in the woods!
