A spokesperson for Ukraine's Operational Command "South," Nataliia Humeniuk, said Saturday that two Russian missiles hit the port of Odessa but caused "no significant damage." The strike came less than a day after Russia signed a deal to reopen Ukrainian Black Sea ports for grain exports.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the strike, saying there had been a "large number" of missile strikes and while they had become "commonplace," the targets themselves were significant because they broke Russia's promises.

"Russia, no matter what it says and promises, will find ways not to implement it," he said.

Turkish Defence Minister Hulusai Akar said Russia told his country that "they had absolutely nothing to do with this attack," and that the Russians were examining the issue very closely.
