Some Other Way, Victory EP Background and Black Rose

Some Other Way is Track 3 from my brand new EP entitled Victory. In this video, I have given some background around the concept behind and the recording process of the Victory EP. I also talk about the origin of the songs and how they were performed by a band called Black Rose from my hometown of Syracuse, NY and recorded into a CD circa year 2000.

These five songs were all on the Black Rose CD, but they've changed, sometimes drastically, while maintaining at least some of the original pieces. In many cases, only the instrumental sections were re-written. But my whole theory behind recording has changed in recent years, and especially working with my co-producer and engineer, Cat Corelli, who has a lot of ways of doing things differently and, well, better. Where I would have in the past slammed through chords on guitar, I have often broken out these guitar sections into individual string riffs. It's a different and cleaner way of recording guitars!

And this is good, as I was seeking "Some Other Way".
