Housing Market - Can I defer my rental payment?

We discuss tenants not being able to defer their rental payments. Rental payment obligations are independent of the owner's/landlord's obligation to their mortgage company. In other words, you can't defer your rental payment, even if the owner defers his mortgage payment.
