#GVOS2020 - Cattleya maxima

My Cattleya maxima... bloomed for me for the first time in October 2019. This is the footage from back then. The fragrance is absolutely divine! It smells of roses with an added layer of lavender / jasmin. I grow it in full leca, in a self-watering set up. It gets 220ppm of fertilizer at a PH of 5.8 using RO water. Main ingredient is MSU fertilizer with added Calcium Nitrate and some Epsom Salts, an addition of Kelpmax makes it's meal complete. When it is not in growth mode, I only top up the reservoir sporadically with RO water & some KelpMax. It tolerates temperatures down to 13ºC in the winter, and can take the higher summer temperatures without any signs of stress. In the very hot summer days, I do mist the leca top layer to keep some form of humidity around the plant. It lives on a S'ern facing shelf, behind a trellis which permits diffused bright light.

Thank you so much to @MyGreenPets for this brilliant idea!
