Assembling the 5V USB powered relay and testing the power consumption in various modes.

Vision dual relay module: 0.5 watts standby current
One USB supply plus 5V relay: 1.6 watts
- The 5V relay pulls 70mA current or 0.35 watts
The booster fan plus automation is right at 22 watts

I'll use this information to update the UserSuppliedWatts setting in the Z-Wave controller. Then I'll add a power/energy tracking sensor in Home Assistant to be able to track operation and energy consumption.

The bench AC power supply with meter was very helpful in testing this setup out. With 2 monitored receptacles, it lets me test the Z-Wave/automation component as well as the AC powered fan:
