Peggy D. Sideratos is a seasoned elementary school teacher who received her Bachelor of Arts and graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Master of Science in Bilingual Elementary Education from Brooklyn College. She worked for a parochial school in Brooklyn for several years and later served on their school board. Peggy also taught for the New York City Department of Education at PS/IS 180 in Brooklyn for ten years, where she was part of the Gifted and Talented program. She has experience with a variety of grades and taught students from Kindergarten through Grade 7. Her love and devotion to children are the motivating forces for writing these books.

During her years of teaching she organized several food, clothing and toy drives for the homeless and took her students on many trips to senior citizen homes and centers in an effort to instill in them the value of community service. Along with her students, she also created several class newspapers that were sold school-wide to raise money for charities.

Peggy is also an active member of the Dafnonas Society, a not-for-profit organization that raises money for charities and individuals who need help. She has served as their youth coordinator for the past five years and has worked with the children to donate thousands of dollars to the Make a Wish Foundation, St Jude's Children's Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children, and the Ronald McDonald House.

Her ultimate dream is for all children to grow up with a greater sense of confidence, inner peace and with a heart filled with compassion, empathy and kindness for themselves and others.
