Jurassic Park For Kids- Story Time

I love animals! And I really love is dinosaurs. But Dinosaurs are one kind of animal you can't go to the zoo and see. But what if they made a zoo where you could see real live dinosaurs?

In this edition of the Book Show Ben attempts to tell the story of Jurassic Park in a way that will appeal to younger audiences. People do get eaten in this version but people get eaten by other animals in stories like Little Red Riding Hood, so the attempt is to tell them as appropriately as possible. Children will find many references to various dinosaurs in this series including: Brontosaurus, Hadrosaurus, Triceratops, Dilophosaurus, Velociraptor, and Tyrannosaurus Rex. Kids will be exposed to concepts like Paleontology and it's basic history, DNA and it's role in helping bodies grow, how zoos work behind the scenes, as well as many references to herd animals like Cows, Zebras, Wildebeest, Elephants, and big cats like lions, tigers, leopards and cheetahs. There's heavy encouragement to get young boys reading non fiction books about animals and especially dinosaurs which can get a lot of boys who think they don't like reading to enjoy it. This story is full of adventure and danger and will help young children develop a longer attention span as they learn to listen to a longer story than many they're offered.
