Silicone Injection Removal from Buttocks Thighs and Hips with an Open Incision Technique

Today we have a patient in her 40's who travels to us from Illinois! About 11 years ago this patient got silicone injections in her buttock in Guatemala, and at first the patient was very happy with her results! But as we've seen many times with illegal silicone injections, the silicone began causing a lot of pain and swelling in the buttock as well as the patient's lower back, hips and thighs. After an MRI we've determined that the silicone has migrated into the patient's muscles, so in order to remove as much product as possible Dr. Katzen is going to surgically remove the silicone with an open incision technique.
