The EU Food and Feed Rapid Alert System notified that ethylene oxide was detected in Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream in France. The product has been distributed to more than 80 countries and regions including China, and the manufacturer has voluntarily recalled it. A carcinogen was detected in two batches of Häagen-Dazs vanilla-flavored ice cream, but Häagen-Dazs said the batch was not sold in mainland China. Customs staff said that market supervision departments across the country have received recall notices. Although not all recalled products are faulty products, there are risks. At present, the official e-commerce flagship store of Häagen-Dazs has no vanilla-flavored ice cream for sale, but the customer service said at that time that it was due to inventory problems and has not received a recall notification.
