Given just how stripped down this game was compared to it's PS3 counterpart (It is missing zombies and some multiplayer modes. I think it might be missing some levels, too), it would be easy to pass this off as a quick cash grab. This is a notion that I cannot agree with. It is pretty well optimized for the Wii with a framerate that stays at 30 most of the time and rarely dips below about 25 FPS, even when things get frantic. It controls pretty well, too. Treyarch's previous attempt with Call of Duty 3 on the Wii did not.

Honestly, there really was no excuse for Call of Duty 3 on the Wii to control as poorly as it did. It should have run just fine off of the Wii hardare. Treyarch even had a PS2 and Xbox version of 3 to build the game off of. It should have been better. Then again, it was their first time working on Nintendo's brand new console.

This, however, had no such luxury. There was no 6th gen version of this game to go off of. There was, however, a PS2 companion piece to World at War called Final Fronts that they could have simply ported over. They chose not to. They chose to make the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of the game work on the Wii. That's a much harder task to accomplish. Treyarch did an admirable job here. It runs well, and it controls pretty well, too.

If you want to know what Final Fronts looks like. I uploaded some gameplay. You can check it out here:
