Italian glacier cracks 25 meters, another glacier collapses, killing 11

On the 17th, a huge fissure appeared in the Marmolada Glacier in the Alps in northeastern Italy, just about two weeks after a serious glacier collapse occurred here, killing 11 people.
Experts predict that if people do not take effective measures to combat climate change, the Marmolada Glacier may disappear completely in the next 25 to 30 years. Data show that between 2004 and 2015, the volume of this glacier has shrunk by 30%.
