Animated Meatsacks

We stand to ignore a really, really GREAT SALVATION when we highlight what doesn't exist anymore. You are literally a NEW CREATION! If you're walk isn't in NEWNESS OF LIFE then something is distracting you. If SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCE isn't part of your life in Christ then you're being BAMBOOZLED! Besetting sins and condemnation are hooks that veer many believers away from the fantastic reality of how God has joined himself to every level of our existence in Christ Jesus. A word of caution: this message contains alarming and coarse language. What's really profane, however, isn't my choice of words. It is alarming that we have, by and large, accepted the Gospel as only a half-measure - leaving us as meatsacks awaiting animation - instead of diving headlong into the ecstasy of our salvation. Let's Christ's work stand. Don't mess with it anymore. "Enhancing" the Finished Work of Jesus on the Cross is rather obscene. When your eyes are opened to this and your imagination ignited your salvation becomes an ease and something to rest in.

“I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ's afflictions” (Colossian 1:24 NIV).

“In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ” (Colossian 2:11 ESV).

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4 KJV).

“Reckon ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus” (Romans 6:11 ASV).

(There's no easy way to shock people into reality. My alternate titles for this clip were "Spiritual Masturbation", "Self-Service", or "Fondling the Foreskin". I think it pretty much works as is though).
