Tom Thomason's Memorial Tribute

Francis (Tom) Marion Thomason III, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 18th, 2022.

January 11, 1940 – June 18, 2022
"Some of it's magic, some of it's tragic, but I had a good life all the way."

He was an amazing man that was loved by everyone he met. He was often described as one of the kindest and gentlest souls anyone has ever met.

Tom was born in Boca Raton on January 22nd, 1940 to Francis (Bill) Thomason II and Katie Mae Thomason. Tom was the 3rd of four children and was preceded in death by his younger brother Michael Thomason, his sister Billie Anne Tilghman, and his sister Betty Capp.

Tom is survived by the love of his life, Dianne Thomason whom he was married to for 63 years. His sons Mark Thomason (Terri) and Scott Thomason, his daughter Cindy Leonard, and special daughter Donna Bowers. Tom is survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and thirteen nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by his nephew Lt. Colonel Kevin Tilghman.

Tom lived an extraordinary life and always lived each day as if it could be his last. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, foster parent and friend. He was the guy who would gladly give you his last $5.00 if you needed it. He was always there to listen and lend solid advice if it was sought. Tom’s compassion, smile and caring ways were always a beacon of hope and love to all he encountered.

There are so many lives that he has touched over the years, so many lives that have been impacted in a positive way. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him, but will live on in the lessons we have learned from him.
He will be dearly missed by all...
