Two small planes collide in Nevada, all 4 on board killed
Two small planes collided over North Las Vegas airport in Nevada, USA on the 17th local time, killing all four people on board.
The North Las Vegas Fire Department said on social platforms that the crash occurred at around 12 noon on the 17th. The Associated Press quoted the FAA as saying that the planes involved were all single-engine planes, models of Piper PA-46 and Cessna 172.
Preliminary information shows that Piper PA-46 collided with Cessna 172 as it prepared to land, the former crashed in a clearing east of the airport runway, and the latter fell into a cistern. Video from the scene showed one of the planes being engulfed in flames. Two people on each of the two planes were killed, according to the North Las Vegas Fire Department.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the accident, the report said.
