Recipe A good dinner for a day when you are canning green beans, since there are usually some let over that won't make enough for a canner load.
Ingredients
Potatoes. Traditionally, the small red new potatoes are used (unpeeled) but you can use any kind. I peeled some russets.
Carrots 1-2, peeled and cut
Fresh Green beans around 3 cups
1 Onion chopped
3 slices of raw bacon, chopped
salt and pepper
spoon of sugar (optional--children will love this dish with a bit of sugar)
Put all in a pressure cooker and cook a few minutes after the weight starts rocking. Serve with corn bread and sliced tomatoes
