Brittney Griner pled guilty today in Russia to drug charges I don't know what the implications of that are for the WNBA star um but really it's because the Russian authorities are using her in as a pawn in the tension between the united states and Russia over Russia's invasion of Ukraine and subsequent war in Ukraine, but so she's a political prisoner because they found empty cartridges in her luggage that contained cannabis oil. And they're using that as a way or the detention of her as a way to you know increase hostilities and or leverage with the United States but she's been in detention for a really really long time and NBA stars like Carmelo Anthony and others have been speaking out about her detention here is Brittney Griner's wife calling out Biden for the inaction, because uh her wife has been in prison for so long and obviously this is an incredibly scary situation.
