Introducing the HazeTac Carlo!

This beauty started life as a flipping version of the HazeTac Swell. Chris started the project then set it aside when he got busy. I can along a few month later and he made a full dress Devil for me.

What you all don't know is I originally wanted a Swell. But I found out, that the Swell is not a flipper. It is a working knife designed to be carried and used like a real knife.

I really really like the looks of the Swell. After awhile I asked Chris if he ever considered making a flipping version of his Swell. You know the answer to that. He showed it to me and said it just didn't work out and he'd have to start over. I asked it he could put it together so I could buy it.

Long story short, when he put it together for me, he realized it was a great design and took the time to finish it like a finished knife. That led to a pass around before I got her.

During this time I was working with Chris to design a knife that was in my head. I wanted to call it the Reaper but there are so many knives out there named that. So on top of getting this idea out of my head, now I had to come up with a new name.

Then I got the Swell flipper! This was the knife in my head!! This was my Reaper!!! I told Chris this and asked him if could make me one out of TI. After some tweaking of the original design of the Prototype this is the final design.

It isn't named the Carlo because I designed it. It is named the Carlo because I was the one that got Chris to put the original Swell flipper together. I take no credit it the design of this knife. I just got the ball rolling.

Oh yea! She flips amazing!!
