Forest fires in Algeria kill at least 42
A number of forest fires broke out in northern Algeria on August 9. As of the 10th, the fires killed 17 civilians, 25 soldiers were killed while fighting fires and rescued trapped people, and more than 20 soldiers were injured to varying degrees.
Algerian Interior Minister Belle Jude told the media on the 10th that the government will provide assistance to the affected people.
