First Chevy Dump Truck Mission is the Black Cloud back??? Illinois country living

04-10-20. Well today I broke out the ol' Chevy Silverado 3500 dump truck to haul my first load of clay over to a farm that I am going to fix some pond dam leaks. Things started out pretty rough almost from the get go. Before I even left my driveway the engine about quit running, as it was missing really bad and would not rev past about 1000 rpm or so. That problem seemed to work itself out, so I was hoping it was just some bad fuel from the bottom of the gas tank. So I was happily on my way! Of course it wasn't going to work out all hunkey dorey, that was for sure. The A/C quit again, (I've only had it in 3 times already to find and fix the freon leak..), but worse yet I heard a hideous sound as if one of the tires was falling off! Sure enough, the back driver's side tires (its a dually) were wobbling off! After several people stopped to help or try to help, the right guy with the right tools lived just up the road so he came back with an automotive impact wrench and got them tightened up. On my way again right!? Shortly thereafter I heard another hideous sound and the same guy pulled over behind me and we found the front plastic skid plate had come loose and was scraping on the ground, but only at a certain speed to get enough wind catching it! Geez, c'mon man!!! So, after all that I finally made the trip to deliver my first load of clay for that future pond repair!
