The interpretation of the statements of the Apostle Paul in the first few verses of Romans chapter 13 seems to be affecting the activity of the church. Should church leaders be telling us to "lie down and take it"? What should our response be to the cancellation of charter and constitutional rights for the people of our country? This, after all, is God's country! Or so I was told when I was a visitor, not a citizen....

[Note for people who care about Biblical accuracy (We do too!): Paul was not actually imprisoned by Nero when he wrote the book of Romans. However, I have heard it claimed that he was. Even though he wasn't there is still the suggestion that we should obey because Paul had Nero in mind. I could name names, but I'm not here to run down other ministries.
